DJI Could Be Working On A Standalone Camera

DJI is probably best known for their drones. These drones usually come with their own cameras built into them, but it seems that the company could actually be developing their own standalone photographic camera that could potentially let them to compete with other photographic camera manufacturers.

This is co-ordinate to a tweet by OsitaLV who discovered a patent filing from DJI for a photographic camera that shares a similar look and blueprint to the Hasselblad X1D 50C. This is actually non the first time that it has been suggested that DJI could be looking to develop their own standalone photographic camera. In 2019, the company caused a majority stake in Hasselblad, which led to speculation that the company could be looking to expand its photographic camera offerings.

At this signal in time, non much is known about the camera that DJI could be making. Yet, given that Hasselblad is known for their loftier-end cameras, nosotros take to wonder if and when DJI were to launch their own digital photographic camera, would it be in a similar vein or would they effort to compete on Sony, Nikon, or Canon's level in terms of pricing.

They accept also launched mini gimbals similar the DJI Osmo Pocket and Pocket 2. The company also attempted to go up against GoPro with its own action cameras like the DJI Osmo Activity.
